Hi,
Thanks Alex for the answer. The reason why I suggested to use «
release-manager » command. is that last time I used the LAB
(~8 month ago) The p4 switches were isolated from the network point of view.
freeRtr ethernet1 could not even get an IP from DHCP.
Only the Main Board CPU had one. And this IP was also extremely constrained.
Each time I needed to "apt update/upgrade » It was mandatory to issue a
request to the Security team in order to temporary open the port.
By using release-manager directly from Linux, in case of issue, he would have
isolated Nix upgrade process and could have provided the relevant
release-manager Nix output log. (Maybe these logs are also displayed in
freeRtr but the objective was to isolate problems and not tied an upgrade
hypothetic problem to freeRtr)
I (wrongly) presumed that it was still the case. It seems that these security
rules have been relaxed.
Glad that it finally worked.
Good luck for the rest Xavier
Best,
Frederic
