hi,
please find attached the newest dpdk test runs...
new feature is wireguard. the rationale behind is that it's a quiet
new protocol and uses quite new, fast and completely open crypto
algorithms (curve25519, chacha20, poly1305, all designed by cr.yp.to,
aka djb. more at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_J._Bernstein )
and since that curve is lightning fast, wg does so aggressive rekeying...
it started as a dkms module in linux kernel, later found it's way to the
mainline, and nowadays most bsds also do it in kernel, so the data transfer
is also quiet fast compared to ovpn. and since it's in the kernel, it have
good chances to arrive soon _natively_ on android...
and last but not least, i peer extensively on dn42.net for fun and to
test the freertr bgp stack and they use a lot of wg and ovpn, but starting
from the today commits, finally i'll be able to move my remaining nodes to
p4emu dataplane...
