hi,
i would like to inform you that gre arrived to bmv2 too, so now, bmv2 and
p4emu (dpdk, pcap) have feature parity...
attaching the test results for both... next steps will be l2tp, then bridging
over {gre, pppoe, l2tp}, then vxlan...
that latter already have a lot of use cases in freerouter software forwarding
both as static or bgp-learned tunnels...
a kind of evpn exists with vxlan encap for example...
regarding the bfswitchd code, we agreed with loui that a good crafted tester
vm is a must to proceed that work reliably,
but as soon as that becomes available we should accept these features to
arrive to that codebase too...
