it's clearly a bad config... if you can provide me a fixed ipv6 then i can
point it to that....

lemme reverb this a bit:

if you can give me a any ipv6 address i can point this tunnel then imho our
bgp will be up again....

if not then...

can you rewrite tapint.c in rust in 2 weeks?

then explain us why you did and what if we ask...

then we'll performance test and if yours is faster and works good enough then
you'll have a misc/native2 folder

there are other .c files there that needs to be written better.... :)

i'll mirror that folder from a git...

it could be a win-win as you just stopped using tapint.c on your raspi? :)

thanks,

cs

famfo:

there is a linux server (1ru router!) a pure x86-64 xeon 8 core 16gb ram very
small pc...

plus a supervisor module, basically a a module where you can control the
serial of the pc...

and a vnc server, but never worked...

and the intel tofino-v1 asic...

and the gearbox that's warranty expired a year ago...

the pc have a standard nvme ssd...

http://files.nop.dn42/inet/barefoot/bios_1.3.0-bf2556.zip is the bios that
you can manage via the serial...

http://files.nop.dn42/inet/barefoot/onie-installer-x86_64-stordis_bf2556x_1t-20201205.bin
is the latest archived image...

will update that and help you if you're stuck...

imho you have a laptop and an nvme<-->usb adapter already....

and if you cannot dd then imho it have a second nvme slot but as it's not
mine i dont know... i have a spare already :)

task:
1) disassemble the box... it was way too much turbulence during the shipping
process... :)
2) clean up it a bit... i order cleaning service never in my lab for a good
reason... :)
3) bring up that latest build... you're a good linux hacker you can do this
in a hour right? :)
4) the rest will be done by the junos guys but imho you can learn a lot if
you look closely...
the box runs exactly the same control plane as
portable.freertr.org does...
5) the event is happening in berlin i stayed in the english street hotel b&b
in a room that is still reserved...
just ask for the receptionist and simon will convince them that
all what you're telling them is true...
6) then shit-test a bit the elevator, just use your brain... i heard childs
laughs when i did that last day... :)

the serial shitload will ask for a password and it'll be 115200-8-n-1

do you accept the challenge finally? :)

thanks,
mc36

Sure. We will work with Anton to understand what host servers we have in
EANTC to host the VM.

Physical connectivity has not yet been established between MX/PTX and the
STORDIS switch. Once the interfaces are connected, we will start applying the
config. We will be
providing Anton the physical topology details once we review them by EoD PDT today. We hope to get started on the configuration by tomorrow once the physical topology is able to
successfully ping each other. Will keep you posted on the status as we
progress.

Thanks,
