Nope, rift will be always a junos package (also on evo) and is already being delivered since a bit. Only on crpd we compile it in because container will never have a package system, that’s the point of them …

 

vSRX is tricky, special fw’ding path, we normally don’t allow to run it since all ports are very tightly clamped down on it.

you mean that once upon a time rift will hit the gear out there with a let's say junos23.4 without adding a tgz or so?

that would be extra cool because i have a very reliable source of vsrx3 and then rift interops will be auto-ran weekly... :)
