FYI, I've pushed a few commits to
https://bitbucket.software.geant.org/scm/rare/rare.git in the past
days. In a nutshell

* Try connections to freerouter and bf_switchd indefinitely rather
than failing after one attempt. This makes the startup less
dependent on a specific order in the launching of the other
daemons. I feel like it's not necessary to have a timeout here,
but that can be added if needed.
* Reduce the verbosity of bf_forwarder.py by suppressing
"keepalive" messages (with a new option --no-log-keepalive),
default is the old behaviour. I've also raised the log level of
"active port"-related messages to debugging.

* Adopt ONIE machine names as platform identifiers. This affects
the --platform option. In particular, wedge100bf32x has become
accton_wedge100bf_32x and bf2556x1t has become
stordis_bf2556x_1t. The latter change affects people who use RARE
on the BF2556.

Hope this is ok for everyone :)
