Hello,

Following the discussion on the shibboleth-users list about redundant namespaces published in the eduGAIN feed (https://shibboleth.net/pipermail/users/2026-May/057034.html)

we decided to apply a fix to pyFF which cleans up unused namespaces.

The pyFF's issue is opened (https://github.com/IdentityPython/pyFF/issues/318) and we hope that this change will be added to the next release.

Starting at 11:45 UTC the eduGAIN feed has no redundant namespaces declared in the EntitiesDescriptor element.
