Hi all,

At the most recent Steering Group meeting interest in hub & spoke federations was discussed. OpenConext is one open source product that can be used to build such a federation (used by SURFconext, FCCN, Kennisnet, Cybera and others).

We are always available to give more information about the platform and what it can do, but if you are interested, it may be good to know that on Monday 22 May 2023 the annual OpenConext day event will be held, this year hosted by Kennisnet in Amstelveen, NL.

You are welcome to attend to learn more about OpenConext and discuss use cases. The day after, 23 May is a (fully optional) hackathon day with room to work on the platform or its installation process.
