If I have an IDP supporting the WS Federation Protocol how do I publish it? iI there a way how to specify that this WSFed based and not SAML/shibboleth based?

Could you explain what "support the WS Federation Protocol in eduGAIN"
means, exaclty? Provided entities published via eduGAIN have the
relevant endpoints in their metadata I don't see what's stopping them
from using that protocol?
What would "eduGAIN" have to do in your opinion to support use of
WS-Fed beyond that? (I.e., what's missing, exactly?)
