Dear Peter,

I changed the text of the website and now it reads "At this time RiċerkaNet Identity Federation supports SAML WebSSO for use in eduGAIN. It does not publish any other technical profiles or other appendixes to the Identity Federation Policy that are not listed on this page."

I am finding it a problem to understand if this conversation on the absence of technology profiles is highlighting a show-stopper for the federation to become members or its meant for positive feedback to make the federation better. For the latter case, I can assure everyone that it is part of our plan to continue evolving the federation in the path this discussion is proposing. Nevertheless, I am hoping that at this stage the change in text is enough to describe the technology profile we support

Let me know if this is ok

Regards
Daniel

That's fine, I guess. The website already states:

"At this time RiċerkaNet Identity Federation does not publish any
technical profiles or other appendixes to the Identity Federation
Policy that are not listed on this page."

The fact that you have zero technology profiles -- such as one for
SAML WebSSO/eduGAIN or RADIUS/eduroam -- isn't overly helpful, of
course. I suppose that's what Rhys meant when he commented on your
policy talking about "suspending individual Technology Profiles" in
certain cases.  (I.e., if you have none how are you going to suspend
use of one for an offending member?)

The section about interfederation also doesn't sound like the
respective technology profile is optional (given that you're already
engaging in interfederation, otherwise we wouldn't be having this
conversation):
"How the potential Inter-Federation agreement is administratively and
technologically reflected for certain technology is described in
appropriate Technology Profiles."
But again I suppose that may come straight from the identify
federation policy template document (I haven't checked) so I probably
take some of the blame for that.

Best,
-peter
