All,
You can find more detailed information about the federation under "eduGAIN Candidates” at
https://technical.edugain.org/status.php which contains links to their policy and MRPS.
As eduGAIN Chair, I present to you the application of:
- Kyrgyz Republic / KIF - KRENA Identity Federation
who has Signed the eduGAIN Declaration, has a policy based on the federation template, is self-declaring their federation as a production service and is wanting to join the global R&E federated environment.
You can find more detailed information about the federation under "eduGAIN Candidates” at
https://technical.edugain.org/status.php which contains links to their policy and MRPS.
This application is from an organisation that is closely aligned with the GÉANT community and has been a flywheel in the Central Asian project CAREN which started in 2009 supporting the Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan R&E Community. You might have seen Zak’s 2011 Lightning Talk at TNC and he has been a driver of this work in the region (eduroam and identity federation) and it is hoped this will start the other CAREN members along this path.
So I ask the following federations to specifically review the submission by Kyrgyz Republic / KIF - KRENA Identity Federation:
- United Kingdom / UK Federation
- Albania / RASH
- Algeria / ARNaai
- Argentina/MATE
- Armenia/AFIRE
All eduGAIN members can (and should) provide feedback on this but to share the burden of review around, these five (5) federations have a specific responsibility.
If you have any questions please contact the KIF team (Zarlyk "Zak" + Kadyrkul) that are subscribed to this mailing list.
Formal components of the membership process will be via the eduGAIN Steering Group mailing list.
Thanks,
Terry.
