Hi all,
We’ve chosen a day for our big switchover from eduGAIN opt-in to opt-out for the UK federation membership: Monday Nov 17th.
T minus 12 days and counting!
So on that day, when we do our normal metadata publishing (usually between about 16:00-18:00 GMT), our export aggregate (that eduGAIN consumes) will jump, as previously discussed, from on the order of 40-50 entities through to more like 1400-1500 entities. Then when eduGAIN consumes the change (I don’t know how often the eduGAIN MDS checks?), that will also increase in size accordingly.
If anyone wants to see what our export will be like as compared to what it is now - for advanced testing, or just for curiously - then you can find both here:
* The current export aggregate - http://metadata.ukfederation.org.uk/ukfederation-export.xml
* A preview of what the export aggregate will look like post Nov 17th - http://metadata.ukfederation.org.uk/ukfederation-export-preview.xml
Best Regards,
Rhys.
