Hi,

This message is important for NRO and institution eduroam administrators and only addressed to them.

I would like to announce that today (1.10.2026) between 17.00 and 18:00 CEST we will be switching CAT to a new authenticating proxy. For most administrators this should be unnoticeable with one exception that should have a very limited scope:

IF
no admin from a given institution has logged in since beginning of November 2025
AND
the institution uses a SAML IdP that is behind a proxy
AND
the entityId of that IdP was sent in SAML messages
THEN
the identifier will be changed and the admin will require a new invitation.

You can still prevent the problem from happening if you log into CAT before 17:00 CEST

The change will not affect the end-users in any way.
