Hi guys

we at the University of Bern just had multiple tickets, where students were not able to configure eduroam via the geteduroam app as well / anymore. Today’s ticket was a linux endpoint and we tried to reprovision eduroam with the geteduroam app for linux. Somehow there is a problem with the installation / provisioning of the CA certificate, because when I change the profile manually to „do not check the CA certificate“, the endpoint is able to connect to eduroam again.

I will go on and do some more tests on other linux endpoints and maybe some other OS’ as well, but this will take me some time.

Just my observation after the last few eduroam tickets at our institution / organization.

Gert-Jan,

You should be using geteduroam on any Android versions newer than 10. The eduroam CAT app on Android has been depreciated for several years.

Hi,

Today I tried the eduroamCAT tool to configure an eduroam profile, but whatever (Netherlands) Institute I select the tool says:

Configuration File Error

Read Error with Config File

The site eduroam Configuration Assistant Tool <color:rgb(70,120,134); margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px> lists CAT was recently upgraded to version 2.2.2

Installed on my Google Pixel phone app version 1.2.14, when I search in the Appstore for eduroamcat I only find geteduroam (SURFnet).

Is the eduroamCAT app no longer supported ?
