Hi,
institution-specific details such as stand-alone certificate
files should be delivered directly by your institution local
eduroam support. Certificate is not all, the server name is very
important as well.
The very reason for CAT to exist is to prepare installers which put all this information together and install it in a single go. Users who wish to install manually are probably better off with direct local support contact.

I get that's it's nice to have "installers" for common systems.
But would it also be nice to have just the cert downloadable as well?
This is now the second time that I have to copy-paste the cert from a python file to update it.
The first time I had to look for it to find it and now conveniently it was in the same place as last time.
That said, a separate .pem file would be more convenient, as there is no guarantee that the cert will be in the same place next time.
