Hi,
just for all of you trying to manually connect to eudroam on Windows 11
- when your institution does use EAP-TTLS(PAP) you may be tempted to
use Microsofts shiny new settings app on Windows 11 to configure
eduroam without the CAT-Tool.
Well you will be disappointed, while the modern dialog actually offers
all the necessary fields needed for a secure connection - when trying
to actually connect or manually store credentials nothing happens. The
UI just won't bring up a credential dialog.
Does that sound familliar? Yeah... We had that issue on Windows 10
before already which (at least partially) lead to the creation of
GEANTLink...
If you can manage to open the old settings dialog found in the control
panel that will work though - But that process may involve the usage of
dark magic....
Lessons learned: Always use CAT when you can ;-)
Greetings,
Lukas Wringer
