The mailing list for users of the eduroam Configuration Assistant Tool (CAT)

Dear eduroam CAT Administrators,

We have noticed that the eduroam network often drops users(only windows, not android), prompting me to write a VBS script that facilitates a quick reinstallation and connection to the eduroam network using the eduroam CAT tool. This script has greatly improved the user experience at our school.

However, we have encountered a persistent issue with the connection part of the process. The eduroam CAT program uses “eduroam®” as the name in the wlan_prof-0.xml file, which is causing numerous errors due to character encoding issues.

Our school uses the following profile: 

https://cat.eduroam.org/?idp=649&profile="2261

To resolve these errors and enhance the connectivity experience for all users, I kindly request that the profile name be changed to “eduroamR” or another name that does not include special characters. This change would greatly assist in our efforts to maintain a stable and user-friendly eduroam connection.
