Hi,
Linux Mint 18.3 was released in 2017 and had End-of-Life in April 2021, the python you have there is just way too old and this is why it reports a syntax error.

mailto:sympa AT lists.geant.org?subject=unsubscribe%20cat-usersI am a professor from UNESP in Brazil, trying to connect my
desktop to the eduroam network.
Which works just fine on my laptop and my mobile phone.
However, on my Desktop I am receiving an error
message when trying to install eduroam.
My OS is Linux Mint 18.3 Cinnamon 64-bit
When running the installer "eduroam-linux-U-UEPJdMF.py",
downloaded from
" https://cat.eduroam.org/
" under python3 I get the following error message
File "eduroam-linux-U-UEPJdMF.py", line 754
interface += f"phase2=\"auth={Config.eap_inner}\"\n" \
^
SyntaxError: invalid syntax
interface += f"phase2=\"auth={Config.eap_inner}\"\n" \

SyntaxError: invalid syntax
What could possibly be wrong?
Also, follows attached a print image of the error
Looking forward to hearing from you
André
