We could easily create a possibility to download a zip file containing the certificate and the xml file but it appears that these devices can be configured with appropriate installers as well so perhaps this could be something that geteduroam people could look at.

Seems like a windows-like xml configuration can be used:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/hololens/hololens-network

Don't know the specific platform and methods to side-load the provisioning package containing xml configuration and certificates.
