Hello!

Ah, that explains things a bit more. In this case, the message you get is still correct: your NRO, Internet2, can send you a one-off email invitation token that binds your new GMail account to the organisation in question. You will then be able to fully administer it, including kicking the previous GMail account that used to manage the org. Just don't kick yourself ;-)

IOW: you're almost there! Re-inviting you is something we as site operators can't do for you - because we know nothing about you and whether you are actually authorised to administer the organisation. Only your NRO knows, and thus only your NRO can send you the email invitation token.

Greetings,

Stefan Winter

Hello Stefan,

Thank you for the response and explaining the eduGAIN idPs.

The problem we’re having is that the previous administrator used his personal Google account for CAT and for the eduroam Internet2 admin portal. We have regained access to the eduroam Internet2 admin portal but we do not have administration access for our organization in CAT. We have a issue in CAT that we need to correct for our students to successfully connect to the Wifi but since we don’t have admin access, we can’t fix the problem. Needless to say, we are in urgent need of assistance.

I went ahead and logged into the CAT administrator interface using the Gmail account we use for our eduroam internet2 admin portal. However there is no organization to manage and it says to “Please ask your Nation Roaming Operator administrator to invite you to become an organization administrator”. Since we don’t have access to the previous administrator’s account, we are unable to invite this new account to be an admin. Can we please get help moving our account to this new Gmail account?

Hello!

The list of IdPs there is not a list of eduroam IdPs (eduroam credentials are only ever supposed to be entered in the context of an eduroam authentication, never on a web page).

The web site access authorisation is done with a list of *eduGAIN* IdPs, which in the U.S. sources from the "InCommon" federation.

In order for your (InCommon) IdP to transpire through to the login interface here, your institution needs to be an InCommon IdP, and have agreed to have the IdP metadata exported to eduGAIN. You InCommon IdP also needs to consume eduGAIN SP metadata to be aware of the eduroam Support Services SP.

You can either make sure that all of this happens on the eduGAIN side, or you can log into CAT using the "Social" tab and a non-academic IdP of your choice (e.g., Google).

Greetings,

Stefan Winter

Hello,

Thank you for the reply. We've contacted our National Roaming Operator and we now have admin access. However our IdP is not shown in the list that appears after we click Login button shown in the screenshot below:

Here is our IdP Realm: franklinpierce.edu

Any help getting access to the update our certificate with CAT would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
