Hello,

as of recently CAT user API also provides “keywords" per IdP, namely
institution names in all languages plus their ASCII transliteration.

Such transliteration is broken for names in Greek:

curl https://cat.eduroam.org/user/API.php?action=listAllIdentityProviders |
jq '.[2].keywords[][]’

"GRNET S.A."
"ΕΔΥΤΕ Α.Ε."
"????? ?.?.”

The last line should have been:
“EDYTE A.E."

Presumably the PHP iconv extension is used for this:
https://github.com/GEANT/CAT/blob/release_2_0/core/IdPlist.php#L124

Whether the above works or not thus depends on the system library (libc or
libiconv) providing iconv facilities; for example glibc 2.31 or later
includes a working Greek-to-ASCII transliteration table:
https://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=12031

In light of the above I would like to ask if it is at all possible to have
the CAT application host environment updated, so that such transliteration
works as expected.

Thanks,
Zenon Mousmoulas
