I hope this E-Mail is the right channel for a request like this.

 

I am from the IT-Services for the University of Basel, Switzerland and specifically from our Student side we have been noticing an increase in the following issue and I am certain we are not the only institution who is having problems with this.

 

Problem:

User connects to EDUroam with the account of his Institution. Once he changes the Password of the account he is unable to reconnect with EDUroam.

 

Current Solution/Workaround:

The stored WIFI needs to be removed/forgot from the system and reconnected. Only then user can add his username and new password.

 

Systems Problem has been noted:

WIN10, MacOS (10.13/14), iOS, Android

 

Sought after solution:

In the config file a preinstallation check is implemented looking for preexisting WIFI Profiles and removing them. This way no manual intervention needs to be done.
