this may be a similar issue I am experiencing with the wired eduroam
settings, cf.
my mail from Sep 6, Subject: CAT installer on Windows 10 1903 not saving
wired eduroam credentials.
In the mean time, this affects other Windows versions, too, including Windows
7.
I think it is related to some update that different Windows computers receive
at different
points in time (if at all).
