With MacOS and iOS, you have to take care when there is any previously 
configured network of the same name.
Both will take the profile only when there is no conflicting "eduroam 
configuration" present any more.
E.g. if you have tried a manual setup before, the Apple OSes will seemingly 
import the profile,
but in reality do nothing. So far, I have found no other way than removing 
the eduroam config manually
before accessing  cat.eduroam.org and installing the profile.
