When was the last time you logged in? I'm asking because it is extremely
improbable that this loss of permissions has to do with the upgrade. We
are still using the same auth server (eduroam SP proxy), that one wasn't
upgraded, and others (including myself) continue to have their NRO
operator privileges.

If you logged in last a while back, two possible causes:

a) you have multiple accounts to choose from, and your NRO privilege is
bound to an account you didn't use to log in this time
b) if your IdP was upgraded, that possibly led to a change in the
calculation of NameIDs; which makes you appear as "someone new" in our
system. A common upgrade path where this happens unless you pay good
attention is from Shibboleth 2 to 3.

If you can confirm that the login worked as expected /very shortly/
before the upgrade but not now, please let us know. We can take a closer
look then.
