Hello,

That's great to hear.

In the early days of the product, we had complaints about filenames
being too long.
So, there is now a heuristics to shorten the filenames: if an
institution name contains three or more distinct words, only the first
letters of each word are taken for the filename.
Example: "Trinity College Dublin" becomes "TCD". Which is a rather
straightforward algorithm and pleased almost everyone when we introduced it.
Your "FSF" comes from the fact your inst name is repeating itself, it
contains the long version AND its acronym:
"Fernfachhochschule Schweiz (FFHS)"
The algorithm scrubs off the non-alphabet chars, and then finds the
three words "Fernfachhochschule" "Schweiz" and "FFHS". It then takes the
first letters of those, which ends up as "FSF".
If you were to configure an inst name "Fernfachhochschule Schweiz" then
the filename would be literal that (actually, an underscore instead of a
space to avoid the filesystem naming hell). If you were to choose only
"FFHS" then that would probably also lead to an acceptable name, as this
literal acronym would be chosen.
To be honest, we abandoned the idea of making that bit of the filename a
configurable option when pretty much everybody seemed happy with the
heuristics.
Maybe you can ask yourself: do you think your users will really care at
all about those characters in the filename?
If you think they do, then our workaround would be: download the
installers, rename them, put them on a FFHS-operated support website,
and configure the "redirect" feature in CAT to take your users to that
other place.
Greetings,
Stefan Winter
