Hi,

In most cases the path is completely irrelevant. A downloaded script
does not get execute permissions automatically, on some systems when you
set execute permissions in file explorer, then a double click on the
file does indeed execute it, but this is no rule. Therefore the easiest
way to get the thing to work is by "bash script_name.sh" in a terminal.

It makes sense to add the extensions suggested in this thread, but the
impact will be very limited.
