Hi all,

We’re an Australian university and both connectivity tests on the site fail with a timeout.

Would it be possible to configure a higher time limit on these? It’s obviously desirable to have authentication complete within five seconds, but I’m interested in identifying how long a conversation really does take, particularly the dk test which doesn’t even hear a reply.

from: eduroamTL dk
Test FAILED: no reply from the RADIUS server after 5 seconds. Either the responsible server is down, or routing is broken!

from: eduroamTL nl
Test FAILED: there was a bidirectional RADIUS conversation, but it did not finish after 5 seconds!

Within Australia we’re definitely supporting roaming users, but currently it’s difficult to get a feel for what these international tests require. I may be able to speak to our national provider about connectivity with some evidence.

I’m also looking at changing our max request time and it’s good to know that five seconds isn’t currently enough!
