Hi Ole,
There is no CAT error and no mystery.

University of Copenhagen have defined the support values twice. Once on the IdP level and once on the profile level. The second one overrides the first and the second one does not have http:// in it.

If an IdP has only one profile then there is no reason in defining the profile level support options, so I suggest they are deleted in this case and then the IdP level values will be shown. Of course another option is to correct those settings at the profile level.

The profile admin page does say quite explicitly that the value will be overridden. Perhaps the IdP level page could also say that some profiles override the defaults, but this might make the page overloaded with information and harder to use.

Thanks for your answers,

But, Now the problem is developing!
University of Copenhagen claims, that addresses under ‘institution wide’ setting do specify http://...
A screen shot (attached) supports the claim.

CC’ing Bo Bendix at the university.

Best regards,    Ole

Yes, we definitely need value checking and warnings. Whether we should
go as far as actually fixing peoples' sloppiness is another thing, and I
would be inclined not to do that.

Hi,

One could wish for automatic addition of leading http:// if it is missing.
or https ?

(we had a similar issue with our support URLs for sites on the UK support server
so I know what you mean  :-)  )
