Hmm... you meant to write " *Still* more than a few...", right?

Actually, we do have some code for 10.6; but it didn't get the QA it
would have needed to be included in the final release. Getting that QA
got hard, because Mac OS X had already moved on to 10.7 and 10.8 by the
time (I just see that 10.6 got its last platform update by July 2011 -
to borrow a Star Trek phrase, it looks a lot like "He's dead, Jim!")

A device module for 10.6 would need some "love" before we could ship it,
but given that it's getting more old and obsoelte by the day, I don't
have that love :-/

If you're interested, you could work on it yourself. I'm sure Tomasz
could re-enable the button with the current state on a development
machine so you could see the state-of-the-art in action - and the code
behind it is open source - and we're happy to accept patches!
