In Windows XP we only support TTLS-PAP (by installing a GPL version of SecureW2)
In principle Windows XP can be configured also for other EAP methods but digital blobs required for this are not documented and there are no tools for creating them.  Since Widows XP is such an old system, and supporting other EAP methods like PEAP o TLS would require a significant amount of work, we have decided that this time will be better spent on other features of CAT. In short it is just TTLS-PAP.

Hi.

I have a quick query with regard to eduroam CAT and Windows XP SP3. I’ve made a first attempt at creating and eduroam CAT installer but it says that windows XP SP3 is “Not supported by CAT” or at least for this authentication type.

Is this a limitation of CAT/XP SP3 or have I misconfigured something? I know this auth type works when manually configured in XP. Is there anything I can do?

Thanks,

Andrew Christian.
