Hi,
Linux support in CAT is ready for testing.
PEAP/MSCHAPv2, TTLS/PAP, TTLS/MSCHApv2, TLS are supported.
This is a bash script which calls Python for NetworkManager
configuration (this is work by my colleague Michal Gasewicz)
Only version 0.9 f Network Manager is supported
If Network Manager setup fails, a wpa_supplicant configuration file is
created.
The following live CD distributions have been tested successfully for NM
setup
Ubuntu 12.04 LTE
Fedora 16
OpenSuse 12.1 GNOME, KDE
OpenSuse 12.2. Milestone 3 GNOME, KDE
The following distributions failed NM setup (wpa_supplicant file was
created instead)
Gentoo 12.0 - network management based on wicd
Mandriva 2011 - NM v 0.8
Debian 6.2 GNOME, KDE - NM v 0.8
Of course the module is pretty much alpha, it can even throw a message
in Polish if something unexpected happens, but in general it seems to
behave rather nicely.
For TLS setup the script will try to locate a p12 file or prompt for
one. It will also try to guess a user name of of the certificate, but
will of course let the user to override this.
A proper GUI is under development, and hopefully will be available for
the first production release.
Please give it a test at http://cat.eduroam.pl and tell me what you think
Yours
Tomasz
